Bad weather, good for wallet

Well, at least now I'm gonna be able to make this last roll of film last due to the cloudiness lateley, and the fact that I've got long practice tomorrow and I think Thursday is going to be cloudy as well. All these things combined with the fact that the roll I've got left is ISO 100, which pretty much needs a sunny day, or flash, and so far, I've hated the results of using flash. While I was driving home past cullard lake looking, I saw a cool night shot I may need to take. 30 exposures left.

Photography is too damn expensive

I went to Ritz Camera in the mall today and picked up 3 rolls of B&W film, and stopped at CVS to have 2 rolls of their cheap film developed. I think todays bill total after I pick up the pictures will be about $20-24. Anyways I spent about half an hour at Baker Park taking pictures of things, I shot some at my house, some ducks, the shakey bridge, trees, and some various signs and things of that sort. Then I went to my grandma's to borrow her extra tripod, took some pictures of the dog, the naked lady statue and then came home and used the tripod and a kitchen timer to experiment with long exposures at night. I've got one roll of the expensive film that I bought today left, I'm gonna try to make it last the rest of the week or at least till Thursday, because Friday is pay day.

coats and stuff

So I finally started moving into the basement, and doing laundry. Now that I have clean clothes, my mom took me up to the outlets to get new ones. I got a sweater, and a suede jacket. Both are quite warm which is a good thing in a sweater and or jacket. Also, Annie is letting me use her dad's old SLR for a little while, so I can fiddle around with picturey type thingamajigs. I also saw National Treasure starring that guy from the rock, the one that isn't Sean Connery. I would recommend waiting untill it is out on video, or until someone offers to pay for you. Well ladies and gentlemen, good fight, good night.

Dinner Update CNN

Well, we went to the Bavarian Inn, in Shepardstown, WV. The food was delicious, I didn't feel like having traditional thanksgiving food, so I had German food. I had roast pork with a dumpling, sauerkraut, and gravy. Sooooo tasty. Then I had amaretto cheesecake and capuccino for dessert. I like German food.

Happy Thanksgiving Everybody

So today is the day in which Americans celebrate surviving, by engorging themselves. And being an American, I shall participate in this tradition with my mom and grandma. An update on how the food was a the bavarian something or other in West Virginia will be posted later, maybe.

Old Computer....Newerized

My old computer which was happily enjoying it's life as a coster and dust collector, was revived today. With the aid of a new 80Gb hard drive, a new 128Mb graphics card, a DVD-ROM drive, and a LAN card; the computer is now in running order. After 2 hours of work, the only thing left I have to do is install nero, some games, and find some people to have a deathmatch against. The first two shouldn't be hard.

What song to play?

I've decided to learn some new songs on guitar, and I've picked three to start with.

This post will be a poll! I'll eventually learn all of these songs but I need one to concentrate on to start with. To vote just post a response to this with your vote and who you are. This will also tell me who reads my blog. So do it, vote now!

A. The classical selection- Fur Elise
B. The 90's selection- Good Riddance, Green Day
C. The crazy song no one's heard- A Minor Incident, Badly Drawn Boy

Vote away.

voterizeding

So I voted in my first presidential election today (insert woo here). Now I'm waiting to find out who is going to win while conversing with Nina via AIM. But I have found something to occupy myself, I've muted the tv and put some music on my playlist and watch to see when the lyrics match up with what the newscasters are saying. For a while it looked as if the guy on NBC, whats his name, Tom Brokaw i think, was singing Highway 61 by Bob Dylan. I've also been alerted that my blog has the word fuck in it too much, to that I respond by quoting a famous peice of paper,
"
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."
In conclusion, eat me.

P.S. listen to dueling banjos more, its good for everyone.
